I'm thinking of starting a new series helping people learn to sew. I've been noticing that I get a lot of comments from people who don't know how to sew. Or from people who want to learn. Now, I'm no expert (far from it!) but I have been sewing for years and love to help other people.
Now, the only thing is that I'm not sure exactly what people would find useful. Which is where you come in. Do you have any questions on sewing? Any projects you'd like to get stuck into, but don't know where to start?
Any questions you have, no matter how simple you think they are, please pop them into the comments section, and I'll start getting stuck into them.
Looking forward to hearing your questions!
Yay! I am excited!! I love sewing, I started about two years ago and I enjoy it every time. I cant wait for some of your new posts. xx. McKenna Lou
ReplyDeleteHi El,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great. I have a long list! Terminology would good for a start. I was talking to the guy at the fabric stall in St Ives market and he was having to correct me all the time!
Some easy skirts? Maybe a maxi skirt? Sometimes it's hard to know if a project is achievable for a beginner.
Are you back yet? Happy New Year as well!

Happy New Year! This is a super idea. I've sewn some simple things but not done anything for ages so to start with how about a cushion cover, maybe with an envelope back?
ReplyDeleteI just got a sewing machine for Christmas, so I love the idea of this series. I need to start with the basics for sure!
