Hiya strangers.

It’s been a while, eh? I took an unexpected break from sewing and blogging to really commit to a summer of lazy family days and travelling shenanigans including Italy and Canada.

But now summer’s well and truly over (sigh) I can get excited about a whole new Autumn/Winter of sewing.

Have you got any plans for A/W 2015 sewing? I’ve been decidedly restrained with my goals this year.

I love the shape of the top in this first photo. So comfy looking. And, heck, let’s be honest this is pretty much an excuse to make me some more Deer & Doe plantains. I do love that pattern.

I’m 100% addicted to a knit dress shift dress I made using my trusty Sew Over It Ultimate Shift Dress pattern (unblogged). My current version is in a lush forest green ponte knit, but the fabric was pretty cheap and started to bobble almost immediately. Sad days. But, I shall make it again with some proper fancy knit. Also, maybe some sort of raglan sleeved knit shift dress. Sounds complicated, right? I may need to build up to that one.

Jeans. This. Is. Happening. People. I have all the supplies I need. And Named Clothing’s Jamie Jeans pattern. Plus there’s this sew along from Indiesew which looks like it will make the whole thing a cake walk. Fingers crossed.

I’m already halfway through a chambray midi skirt using a vintage pattern (found at the charity shop for 10p – score!). So I’m going to include it here, even though it’s totally not autumnal. We all need small wins, right?

I’m also loving the skirt from the first photo… maybe a By Hand London Charlotte?

Ooh lovely sewing plans! I've also got a midi-skirt planned, using the Brumby pattern by Megan Nielsen, and I'm on the look-out for fabric like the colour in your photo above. I'm still trying to whittle my plans down to something realistic. Good luck with your jeans!

Oooo the Brumby looks so pretty. It's definitely on my hit list. Let me know how yours comes out!
