Warm spiced apple cocktail recipe

Sometimes you just need a drink that’s all warm and spicy. And alcoholic. And today’s been such a wet and rainy day, that I just naturally gravitated towards making this. Especially since it’s so easy, and only requires the most basic of ingredients (you know me by now… I’m fundamentally a lazy person).

Added bonus? This made the whole house smell incredible.

I’m thinking it’d be great to have something like this for a holiday party, serving it to your guests as they come in from the cold. What do you think? Have I swayed you away from hot chocolate?

Warm spiced apple cocktail

You will need (for 1 person):

1 1/2 cups / a mug-full of apple juice

1/2 shot glass of brandy

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

pinch of ginger

1. Mix all the ingredients together in a pan and bring to a simmer over a medium heat.

2. Let this simmer away for a few minutes then pour into a glass rimmed with sugar and cinnamon.

3. Enjoy on a cold, wintry evening. Fire optional.

Looks delish. They serve something akin to this at Greenwich market which we always buy. Time to invest in a bottle of brandy for the home I think!

Have to put all of your drink recipes in a book or something, they all sound so good. I haven't actually tried any of them yet but I definitely should…
