It’s probably no surprise that I’m not a huge fan of the colder, darker Autumn weather. But I guess one thing I’m getting pretty excited about is Autumn sewing. The thought of all those delicious Autumn fabrics like tartan, wool and jacquard. Mmm… jacquard.
So I thought I’d share with you the things on my Autumn sewing hit list (totally ignoring the fact that I only managed 50% of my summer sewing inspiration).
Yes, there are a lot of skirts, but I’m having quite a thing with pencil skirts at the moment so I’m afraid you’ll just have to forgive me.
What about you, what’s on your hit list this Autumn (clothing, or otherwise)? Or maybe you think I”m missing out on some big trend? Let me know what you think – see you in the comments.
Summer Sewing Inspiration
1. Floral Leggings
I know a lot of people were keen for me to share some tips on making trousers, so I thought I’d walk you through making a pair of leggings. And floral leggings seemed so much more exciting than everyday black leggings.

2. Lace pencil skirt
Like I said, I’m obsessed. I love the colours on this, but suspect I may need to make something in more sedate colours. Burgundy and black perhaps?

3. Black dress
You can never have enough high quality, stylish black dresses in your wardrobe, right? I’m thinking of making something like this in a jacquard. Classy and a bit retro.

4. Coloured pencil skirt
Yup. Another one. This time I’d like to make it in a bright colour (like pink) and clash it with a more traditional fabric, like tweed. Still looking for the fabric, but fingers crossed I’ll find it!
